How to send a parcel overseas from Indonesia

Sending a parcel to family or friends abroad should not mean queueing at a counter or guessing what it will cost. With Quantium Solutions you book online, see the full price before you pay, and our courier partner collects the parcel from your door. This guide walks through each step, from getting a price to tracking the parcel on its way.

1. Get a price

Start a new booking and choose Indonesia under Sending from and the destination country under Sending to. Enter the weight in kilograms and, if you know it, the size in centimetres. Say whether you are sending a parcel or a document, and the type of goods.

Then list each item in the box: a clear description, the HS code, where it was made, the quantity and the value of each item in rupiah. Our customs guide explains how to fill these in correctly.

Press Get prices. Every available service is shown with its full price: the shipping fee, any surcharges, the pickup fee and any duty collected now. You see the whole cost before you pay. Choose the service that suits you.

2. Add the sender and recipient

Enter the sender's and the recipient's details. The sender's mobile number is required, because the courier calls it to arrange the collection, so use a number that will be answered.

Your registered address is already in your address book, and you can save new addresses to pick next time. If you send the same things often, save them as favourite items and reuse them instead of typing them again.

Each order covers one parcel. If you are sending two boxes, make two orders.

3. Pay

You can pay from your Quantium Solutions wallet, which you top up first, or online where that option is available. If you have a coupon, apply it at checkout before you pay.

4. Print the label and hand over the parcel

Once you have paid, we book the collection with our courier partner automatically. When the booking is confirmed, a Download label button appears on your order page. Print the label and stick it flat on the largest side of the box.

Our courier partner then collects the parcel from the sender's address. Drop-off points are coming soon. From there the parcel goes to our hub in East Jakarta, and then on to the destination.

5. Track it, or cancel if plans change

Follow the parcel on our Track page with the order number, for example QSID9B4M7X3C, or with the carrier's tracking number. You do not need an account to track, so you can share the number with the recipient and let them follow it too.

If your plans change, you can cancel the order yourself from the order page until the parcel has been collected. The refund goes to your wallet in full, or to a bank account you give us. A processing fee may apply to a bank refund; it is shown before you confirm.

Before you book

  • Pack the parcel first, then weigh and measure it, so the price you see matches the box you send.
  • Check that nothing inside is on the list of items that cannot be sent.
  • Have the recipient's full address and contact details ready.
